Voice, video and screen sharing
Set up your devices before joining the room.
Test your setup
Open account settings → Voice & Video. Select the microphone, output and camera you want to use. The microphone meter, local recording/playback, speaker tone and camera preview help you check the setup. Camera and microphone previews stay on your device.
Input mode and processing
Choose open microphone or push to talk and set a key. Browser push to talk requires the Secret Sauce window to have focus. Choose noise suppression, echo cancellation and automatic gain to suit your devices. A community may require push to talk in a particular room.
Calls and sharing
Use the call controls in a DM or a voice room. Enable your microphone or camera when ready. For screen sharing, choose the screen or window in the system picker and check what other people will see. Avoid sharing private account settings or another person’s information.
Room limits and connection problems
There is no universal short voice-call duration allowance. Community owners and administrators can set a room’s member limit; zero means uncapped. Permissions, moderation and connection quality still apply. Restricted networks may prevent direct calls; use a permitted connection and send Support your client type, version and approximate failure time.
