Official, partner and discoverable communities
These labels describe different relationships with Secret Sauce.
Official communities
An official community is run by Secret Sauce. Its designation identifies the community and does not make every member an employee or an official representative. Check the community identity and moderator information before sharing account information.
Partner communities
A partner community is independently run and has an approved relationship with Secret Sauce. Partnership does not transfer ownership to Secret Sauce or exempt the community from platform rules.
Discoverable communities
A discoverable community can appear in public discovery. This is a visibility setting and review outcome, rather than an official or partner designation. Owners remain responsible for community rules, moderation and accurate descriptions.
Why discovery visibility can be removed
Reasons include platform violations, spam or manipulated growth, misleading identity or descriptions, unsafe content without appropriate restrictions, raid activity, a change in access requirements, or a community that no longer meets discovery criteria. Removal from discovery does not always mean the community is deleted.
Review and appeals
Read the notice for the actual reason and required changes. Owners should correct the issue and use the notice’s review or appeal route. Do not evade visibility restrictions using replacement communities, misleading names or fresh invitations.
